The Connection

 

So I’ve been contemplating this for some time now and I think I’ve found the perfect match of a Solid-State-Storage, HD, Not-quite-prosumer, small, compatible, and all around awesome camcorder. It’s name is HG10, it’s made by Canon (of course), it has an awesome zoom “rocker”, has a 43mm lens which is big enough to fit a matte box, and it a 40Gb Hard-O-Drive.

I’m currently in love with this camcorder after months of research and not being able to actually touch it, I was able to at my local Best Buy store. And oh my good-golly-gosh this little bugger is BIG SPIFFY!! It’s perfect for podcasting with it’s mic input and headphone out and accessory shoe and HD-ness and the zoom rocker.

I understand that it’s the AVCHD format, but the new iMovie can import it, and when it does, it converts it to a more usable file. So all in all I don’t even own this camcorder yet and I’m in love. So look for my review sometime within the next decade when I actually get up the $1000 to buy this puppy.
